Otis Williams of the Temptations Owes $176K in Back Taxes

Otis Williams, a co-founder of the Motown group The Temptations, owes the IRS $176K in back taxes. The company related to The Temptations is also said to owe back taxes as well. The group is said to owe an additional $102K in back taxes to the IRS adding to ta total of $278K in federal back taxes, according to The Detroit News.

Otis Williams is the only surviving member of The Temptations.

The Temptations became one of the most successful acts in black music in it’s nearly 50 years of existence. Their music consisted of R&B, doo-wop, funk, disco, soul, and adult contemporary music. Some famous hits include “My Girl,” “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “Just My Imagination” and “The Way You Do the Things You Do.”
