Lehman Brothers Owes $627 Million in Back Taxes

Lehman-BrothersLehman Brothers Holding Inc., owes NYC $627 million in back taxes. Since they have declared bankruptcy this means that NYC is entitled to it’s six hundred and twenty seven million in back taxes before any other creditor can collect anything from them.

In September Lehman filed for bankrutpcy, this bankruptcy is considered the largest in US history with a total of $250 billion owed to different creditors. New York city is demanding that they are made priority in receiving the taxes that are owed over all other creditors.
