Chris Tucker Owes $3.6 Million in Back Taxes

July 28th, 2009 by Manny Davis

chris-tucker-back-taxesAccording to The Detroit News, Chris Tucker owes $3,594,409 in back taxes to the state of California. The state has filed a tax lien against Tucker for the taxes he owes. According to the tax lien, Tucker has unpaid taxes dating back six years.

Chris Tucker is a 37-year-old that has been in popular films such as Friday, Dead Presidents, The Fifth Element, Rush Hour 1-3 and Money Talks. Even though he has made millions in earnings he has failed to be compliant with California tax laws for several years now and that has just all caught up with him.

It seems back taxes are becoming more and more common among celebrities in California. Just recently it was report that Steve Austin and Stephen Baldwin also owe that state of California a large amounts of taxes.

**July 2010 Update – It turns out that Tucker is still struggling, and this time, it’s much worse. Tucker now allegedly owes over $11.5 million to the IRS. Check out our report here.**
